Shift4 One Settings

Here you can find out what settings you can configure on your Shift4 One terminal.
Feel free to check out our video on YouTube as well.
Please note that the menu navigation shown in the video may change after an update, and the menu items mentioned may be located elsewhere.

  1. On your terminal’s home screen, open the Shift4 One app (formerly the SkyTab Solo app).
  2. Use the three-dot menu to access the Shift4 One app settings.

You can protect access to the menu using a PIN.

Transactions

Here you can view all payment transactions made at this terminal and filter them by status:

  • Synchronized
    The transactions have been transmitted to the server.
  • Pending transactions
    The transactions have not yet been transmitted to the server.
 

Reports

Here you can view the transaction reports directly on the terminal.

 

 


 

 
 Location transaction report

This report includes the transactions from all terminals at a site.
You can view different time periods.
e.g. 

  • Current business day
  • Last business day
  • Custom date
  • ...

NOTE:

  • You can print the reports by clicking the printer icon.

Shift4 Support

A QR code is displayed here. Scan it with your mobile device to go directly to Shift4's WhatsApp chat support.

To use WhatsApp chat support, you need an active WhatsApp account.

Settings

These subitems appear when you open the “Settings” menu.


NOTES:

You can secure access using PIN protection (under “Additional Features”).
When you open the menu for the first time, you’ll see the menu items “Personal Profile” and “Business Profile.” Once your personal profile and a business profile have been set up, these two items will disappear.
Instead, the “Employees” item will appear.

 

 

Employees

Here you create a user for the terminal; this user will be appear on the reports.

 

 

Payments

  • Navigation
    Here you can specify whether the terminal returns to the home screen after the payment transaction.
  • Suggested Amounts
    Here you can enter three fixed amounts, provided you have enabled the “Enable Custom Amounts” toggle.
  • Tenders
    Here you can specify which payment methods are allowed to be accepted and processed by the terminal.

 

Tax

This option is not available for the Europeam market.

  • Enable Tipping
    Here you can specify whether it is generally possible to register tips via the terminal.
  • Enable Default Tip Selection
    Here, you can specify which suggested tip amounts are displayed by default.
  • Enable Threshold Amount
    Here you can specify whether a tip is automatically added for orders above a certain amount.
  • Minimum threshold amount
    The saved tip amount is automatically added starting at this amount.
  • Default 
    Here you define the tip amounts that are suggested by default at checkout.

 

 

 

Using the three-dot menu, you can edit the percentage and the fixed amount, as well as define the default amounts.

 

 

 

 

 

Receipts

  • Receipts Business name
    The name you enter here will appear on the receipt.
  • Receipt business phone
    The phone number you enter here will appear on the receipt.
  • Receipt Business address 
    The address you enter here will appear on the receipt.
  • Payment Receipts
    Here you can specify whether a prompt to request a second receipt appears after payment.

 

Additional Features

  • Enable Kiosk Mode
    Here you can specify whether only the Shift4 payment app can be used on the terminal or whether users can switch to the home screen and access other apps.
    Enabling this prevents unauthorized persons from accessing the device’s settings.
  • Enable Gift cards
    This option is not available for the European market.
  • Enable PIN protection 
    Here you can protect the following menu items from unauthorized access using a 6-digit PIN:
    - Payment transactions, reports, and settings
